Clane is an attractive town halfway between Maynooth and Naas. Clane is a village of circa 2500 residents, but growing rapidly partly given its proximity to Dublin. Via the new motorway which may be accessed in Maynooth (University town circa 10 minutes drive), one could expect to be in Dublin city centre in 30-40 minutes. Once the airport motorway is complete (Fall 1996), using the same access via Maynooth, one would hope to reach the airport in well under an hour. The River Liffey flows past its outskirts and the Grand Canal is within a couple of miles. It is also close to Mondello Racing Circuit, home to Irish Motor Racing.
